Ebisu Gakuen Danshi-bu, or better known as EBiDAN, is a group of actors, singers and performers under Stardust Promotion, one of the top talent agencies in Japan.

With 9 boy groups, EBiDAN not only focuses on music but also on acting, allowing them to have a significant influence on the diversity of music in Japan. Each group within EBiDAN has its own unique characteristics that let us experience a variety of diverse and unique musical styles.

Another uniqueness provided by EBiDAN is their project "SOiYA," which was released in mid-2023, where seven of the boy groups came together to perform a classic song titled "Zenryaku, michi no ue yori." Their newest additions, ICEx and Lienel debuted shortly after the SOiYA era. 

1. BULLET TRAIN (Chottokyuu)

The boy group consisting of KAI, RYOGA, TAKUYA, YUKI, TAKASHI, SHUYA, MASAHIRO, ALOHA, and HARU has a very upbeat and striking J-pop genre. BULLET TRAIN itself is the longest-standing group in EBiDAN, having formed in 2011 with a concept that combines main dancers with backing vocals.

In addition, in 2018, Bullet Train was awarded as the Favorite Dance Artist in Japan through the MAMA FANS' CHOICE IN JAPAN.

2. M!LK

Born in November 2014, M!LK is a group that can adapt to all kinds of music. However, they always maintain synergy with their main characteristics, which is to always be happy, full of energy, and smiles.

M!LK is also known for their Prince Charming concept and lyrics that warm the hearts of their listeners.

3. SUPER★DRAGON

Formed on September 27, 2015, this mixture unit also consists of 9 members. Not only do they have high-energy dance performances, but SUPER★DRAGON also combines rap and beatboxing in their music.

In 2024, Supadra, the abbreviation for this group, released a single titled "New Rise" under Pony Canyon, one of the largest labels in Japan. This release showcases the dramatic changes in their dance formations.

4. Sakurashimeji

In the same year as M!LK, Gaku Tanaka and Hyoga Takada formed a duo called Sakurashimeji. This guitarist duo brings a new vibe to EBiDAN. In addition to playing the guitar and composing songs, the members of Sakurashimeji have also ventured into acting. One of their projects is a drama titled "Okaeri Mone," which aired on NHK.

5. ONE N' ONLY

ONE N’ ONLY is a six-member team formed of TETTA, REI, and EIKU on vocals and HAYATO, KENSHIN, NAOYA on dance and rap. 

After debuting in 2018, the team has gone on to create a unique new blend of J-pop and Latin Pop, which they have named Jatin Pop. 

Due to such success, they have managed to attract audiences from across Asia and Latin America. They are also the Japanese boy group with the most TikTok followers, boasting around 5.8 million followers.

6. GNJB (GENIN WA JIBUN NI ARU.)

GNJB strives to redefine what it means to be a Japanese idol. By combining elements of Japanese internet culture, such as music produced by famous Vocaloid producers and interactions with 2D characters, this team continues to be an entity that travels between the second and third dimensions.

In their performances, the team cleverly utilises their cynical worldview and delivers 1000% smiles to the audience.

In addition to their artist activities, the members also act in popular works, including boys' love dramas and Kamen Rider. In 2024, the group will celebrate its fifth anniversary, continuing to chase their "continuous dream."

7. BUDDiiS

With the largest number of members, totaling 10, BUDDiiS was born in 2020. With their hit song "CLICK ME", BUDDiiS has managed to capture the attention of Japanese music enthusiasts. The music they produce is always filled with joy and energy. What makes it even more special is that this group always involves "Buddies," which is the name they use for fans, in every song they create. That's really cool!

8. ICEx

ICEx is a band that brings a new vibe to EBiDAN. With their motto being “to love all love,” their retro atmosphere is filled with love. Not only their faces but also their performances of the songs they present are refreshing.

The members of ICEx are Riku Shiga, Otaro Nakamura, Haruse Akune, Hakuto Chida, Toshiaki Tsutsui[kt2] , Ryuto Yamamoto, and Sena Takeno, Ryosuke Yagami.

9. Lienel

The youngest group in EBiDAN, known as the purple princes, Lienel was formed in 2023 through auditions held by EBiDAN. Although still relatively new, these young princes have already released four singles.

Lienel itself is an abbreviation for "Lien éternel", which means eternal bond in French. With this name, Lienel hopes to always be together with their fans.
